ABOUT ME

I am Alex-Michael Carballo and first picked up a guitar when I was 9 years old. My journey has taught me so many lessons, some of which made me almost turn away from music altogether. As the years passed and I learnt to understand these lessons, I realized that music was what I was put on this planet to do. Now that I have found and embraced my path, my aim is to touch peoples hearts and to make people think outside the box.

I am not a rapper, or a singer, or an exceptional guitar player. I am a human, embracing all the skills the universe has blessed me with and put them to work in unity. To create music and a frequency which enables the reaching of spirit, mind, body and soul within you.

I was born in Chalatenango, El Salvador, Central America. Through the first 10 years of my life we lived in a war torn country. We were given the gift to move to Melbourne Australia, which now I call home. Here is where I first learnt to play an instrument, felt the vibration of a drum and what it could do to you in many levels. Here, in my new home, I fell in love with music.

Due to my heritage I was lucky enough to have experienced many different styles of music. From 70's Spanish ballads, 80-90's Salsa and Latin Tropical to more RnB and Hip-Hop styles which I grew up with. My music is a fusion of all of these styles and many more.

We all have a story to tell and experiences which have shaped our lives and who we become as humans. Through my music, I will tell my story and share some of my experiences with you. Some of which have torn me apart and others where I reinvented myself to truly find the person I am today. To speak my truth. It is through my spiritual journey, with divine guidance from the universe and ancestors that I have found that essence.

This is why I am now here, in a place full of Love and Appreciation of everything around us. Now, at this very moment, as yesterday we cannot change, only learn from and tomorrow is not yet written.

As an artist I have been known by other names, but now that I speak my truth, I have found the genuine me and introduce myself as A.Mikey.C
